Cereal Cultivar Garden at the field station of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of the ETH Zurich in Eschikon, Zurich, Switzerland

Since the ‚real’ cultivar garden of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences at the field station Eschikon had to make room for new greenhouses, it will live on in another way. In cooperation with Ernst Merz, who was responsible for the cultivar garden for many years, this virtual cultivar garden has been developed. It not only illustrates the evolution of our four cereal species: wheat, barley, rye and oat, but also a selection of land races and modern varieties from Switzerland and other countries of the World.
